Businessman Leonid Radvinsky passed away at the age of 44

OnlyFans has confirmed the death of Leonid Radvinsky, its owner, at the age of 43. The cause of death was a long battle with cancer. The entrepreneur’s family asks that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.

According to Bloomberg, Radvinsky became the majority owner of the platform in 2018 and made OnlyFans a cultural phenomenon that radically changed the adult content industry by allowing creators to receive direct payments from users. He is the owner of OnlyFans’ parent company, Fenix International Ltd.

The platform was founded in 2016 by Britons Guy and Tim Stockley and quickly gained popularity due to the ability to publish adult materials that are prohibited on most social networks. Demand for OnlyFans has increased dramatically during the pandemic, when many adult industry actors were looking for new ways to earn money in the online environment.

Radvinsky also discussed the possibility of selling 60% of the platform, valuing it at about $5.5 billion. San Francisco-based investment firm Architect Capital planned to partner in the offer, including through equity and about $2 billion in debt. As of early 2026, discussions were in the early stages.

While the platform has tried to attract creators from other fields, such as chefs and athletes, only adult content has remained its main distinguishing feature. OnlyFans receives 20% of most subscriptions and content sales. As of 2024, the platform had more than 4.6 million creator accounts and about 377 million fans, bringing the company $1.4 billion in revenue.

Since 2021, Radvinsky has paid himself about $1.8 billion in dividends from OnlyFans.

In 2024, he transferred his stake in the platform to a trust.
