New tax changes: government proposals
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to approve a new package of tax changes, which provides for a number of innovations for citizens and business representatives.
One of the main initiatives is the taxation of income received through digital platforms. This will apply to earnings received through online services and marketplaces. The government plans to introduce regulation of such income within the framework of the tax system.
The project also proposes changes to the rules for taxation of international parcels, in particular those worth up to 150 euros. The government is considering the possibility of adjusting the current norms for such cases.
Another proposal is to maintain the military levy at 5% on a permanent basis, since this payment is an important source of financing under martial law.
At the same time, the issue of introducing a value-added tax for individual entrepreneurs is currently not included in the agenda, and the relevant draft law will not be considered yet.
After the initiatives are approved by the government, they can be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for adoption.
