New downward trend: a decrease in gasoline and diesel prices is possible, but there is a condition
Serhiy Kuyun, director of the A-95 Consulting Group, stated that a new wave of fuel price cuts at gas stations, including gasoline and diesel, may begin in Ukraine.
If world oil prices remain stable at $65 per barrel for the next 10-14 days, drivers can expect some reduction in fuel costs.
“If low oil prices persist for several weeks, this will undoubtedly lead to a decrease in prices at gas stations,” the expert noted.
In his opinion, if the cost of oil does not change, the first signs of a price cut on the market may appear in a few weeks.
Forecasts indicate that the price of oil at $65 may decrease the price of gasoline and diesel fuel in Ukraine by 2-3 hryvnias per liter.
Due to a decrease in fuel consumption in March, gas stations have already been forced to reduce prices. The average price of gasoline decreased by 20 kopecks to 3.20 hryvnia per liter, and diesel fuel also fell in a similar range. Liquefied gas fell by about 1.5 hryvnia.
This trend indicates a potential improvement in the situation for drivers shortly.
