The director of the GP branch tried to take a “filled” power bank into the colony

In the Voznesensk Correctional Colony, operational department officers discovered an attempt to illegally transfer a prohibited substance to the institution’s territory. The director of one of the branches of a state enterprise is suspected in this case.

The information was received in the course of operational work. When checking a person who was trying to enter the colony’s territory, a GRIXX brand power bank with signs of tampering with the design was discovered. When the device was opened, a plastic bag with an unknown gray-green substance was found in it.

The Voznesensk District Police Department’s investigative and operational group was called to the scene to record the incident and further investigate. The detected substance was seized for examination, and law enforcement agencies are investigating all the circumstances of the case.

The State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine emphasized that this case is part of a systematic fight against violations, including among regime facility employees. They also noted that no attempt to smuggle prohibited items illegally will go unchallenged.
