In May, gas stations will significantly change the prices of gasoline and diesel: what drivers can expect

In Ukraine, gasoline and diesel prices may change in the coming months. If the situation in the oil market remains stable, prices may decrease in May. Serhiy Kuyun, Director of the A-95 Consulting Group, pointed out that changes in world oil prices directly affect the Ukrainian fuel market. If the cost of oil does not increase during April, Ukrainian gas stations may reduce prices by 3 hryvnias per liter for gasoline and diesel fuel.

According to the expert, a decrease in world oil prices is already visible. The cost of one barrel of oil has fallen from 75 to 65 dollars, which may entail price adjustments for fuel in Ukraine. Although the trend towards a decrease in prices is still ongoing, it is difficult to accurately predict how the situation will develop further—some factors may indicate a further decrease in prices, while others may indicate a possible increase in prices.

If oil prices remain low through the end of April, drivers may see significant changes in gas prices in May.
