Ukrainian military eliminated a convoy of equipment and 40 enemies near Bahatyr

Russian forces continue their attempts to break through the Ukrainian defense line near Bogatyr in the Donetsk region.

According to the information of the tactical group “Vugledar,” on the morning of April 26, thanks to the inspired work of the headquarters, enemy equipment that had launched an attack at 4 a.m. could be detected in time.

The command organized coordinated fire-fighting actions, which, thanks to effective reconnaissance and combat management, made stopping the enemy’s intentions possible.

According to military sources, 15 out of 18 motorcycles were destroyed, 9 out of 10 cars were hit, and 40 Russian soldiers were eliminated.

At the moment, the strengthening of defensive positions and countering new enemy attempts to attack is ongoing.

According to the information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the morning of April 26, 2025, the enemy continues to use its numerical superiority, attacking the positions of the Ukrainian troops. However, our Defense Forces repelled these attacks, inflicting severe losses on the aggressor.

Over the past day, 156 combat clashes and 117 airstrikes were registered, during which the enemy dropped 212 cluster bombs. In addition, 6,010 attacks were recorded, including 104 from multiple launch rocket systems, and 3,363 kamikaze drones were used.

The aggressor continued to carry out airstrikes on settlements, particularly in the Sumy region (Prohody, Uhroidy, Mykhailivka), the Donetsk region (Bahatyr, Oleksiivka, Novopil), and Zaporizhia (Hulyaipole, Kozatske, Antonivka).

Ukrainian aviation, artillery, and missile forces continue to operate actively against the enemy, destroying several areas of concentration of troops, artillery systems, and control points.

Numerous attacks continue at the front. In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy has carried out five attacks, in the Lymansk direction – 19, in the Toretsk direction – 16, and in the Pokrovsk direction – 44 assault attempts. The conflict also continues in other directions, particularly in the Orikhiv direction.

Our defenders are actively defending, inflicting significant losses on the enemy regarding equipment and workforce. The total losses of the enemy over the past day amounted to 1,110 people; in particular, eight tanks, five armored personnel carriers, 70 artillery systems, 118 drones, and 145 units of automotive equipment were destroyed.

It is worth noting that Vladimir Putin announced a so-called Easter truce, which will last from April 19 to 21. Still, by the order, the Ukrainian military has already ceased fire today after its appeal.
