Ukraine engages Qatar and UAE to help return children – Lubinets
During a live broadcast, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, announced the ninth meeting of the working group focused on human dimension issues within the peace formula. This time, the meeting took place not in Kyiv, but in Zhytomyr.
One of the key topics discussed was the possibility of involving Qatar as a mediator for the return of Ukrainian children. The group also explored cooperation with the United Arab Emirates.
The Ombudsman emphasized that this is just part of the broader effort being undertaken by the Ukrainian authorities in collaboration with international partners to bring Ukrainian citizens back home. An important role in coordinating efforts in this area is played by the working group on human dimension issues within the peace formula, which consists of representatives from Ukraine, Canada, and Norway.
