In the Czech Republic, a Russian attacked a journalist after mentioning Ukraine

In Karlovy Vary, during a survey of Russian-speaking tourists, journalist Jiri Hynek was hit in the neck after asking questions about the war in Ukraine.

On May 1, an incident occurred in the center of Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic) with former Czech Television journalist Jiri Hynek. During a survey of Russian-speaking tourists, he was hit in the neck after asking a series of questions about the war in Ukraine and his attitude towards Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the publication “Czech Republic-Online”, referring to the investigative portal Odkryto, founded by Hynek himself.

The incident occurred on Sadova Street. As the journalist recalls, after several questions, one of the men first began to show aggression in the form of swearing, then pushed him, and then grabbed him by the neck and hit him. The attacker noted that he was originally from Kazakhstan.

The police were called to the scene and fined the aggressor 10,000 Czech crowns.

A short video recorded by the journalist shows the conversation before the attack:

– “What do you think about the war in Ukraine?”

– “Nothing. It doesn’t concern us.”

– “Why? It’s an important topic.”

– “No.”

– “People are dying there.”

After that, the man began pushing the journalist and expressing insults. Hynek also asked about his attitude towards Putin, to which he received the answer: “I don’t know him.”

In a comment for the Blesk publication, Hynek noted that the man was very aggressive. According to the journalist, these individuals were Russians who have been living in Germany for a long time and openly support the Kremlin regime:

“Most of them turned out to be convinced Putinists. These are not isolated cases – I often observe such behavior,” he emphasized.
