SBU has raised new suspicions against Kiselyov: the propagandist is charged with four articles

The Security Service of Ukraine has documented new facts about the criminal activity of Russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselyov, who is under sanctions for justifying war crimes, promoting war, and calling for a violent change of power in Ukraine.

According to information obtained during the investigation, Kiselyov regularly uses his television time on the “Russia 1” channel to spread Kremlin narratives. He hosts the “News of the Week” program and is part of Putin’s media pool. In his speeches, he constantly spreads false information about the situation in Ukraine, tries to discredit the country’s international relations, and calls for the seizure of its territory.

The SBU notes that Kiselyov is trying to justify the Russian military aggression, incite violence, and legitimize aggression against Ukraine, openly supporting the actions of the Russian military and approving their crimes.

This is not the first time a criminal case has been opened against Kiselyov. In March 2022, he was already charged in absentia with encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

From now on, based on new evidence and expert opinions, he has been charged with additional suspicion under four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 3 of Article 109 – calls for a violent change of power through the media;
Part 3 of Article 110 – actions that threaten the territorial integrity of Ukraine and have led to grave consequences;
Article 436 – propaganda of war;
Part 3 of Article 436-2: Justification and denial of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression and glorification of its participants.
Since Kiselyov is in the Russian territory, he is wanted. The SBU is taking all possible measures to bring him to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation is being conducted under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
