CCC under threat and sabotage: Armed Forces of Ukraine reminded of criminal consequences
The Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have issued an appeal calling for attention to the increase in cases of deliberate obstruction of the activities of employees of territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC and SP). The command indicated that any attempts to obstruct the work of the TCC, including threats, moral pressure, violence, or damage to official transport, are subject to criminal prosecution.
It is noted that recently, numerous materials have appeared on the Internet where citizens actively obstruct servicemen of the TCC and encourage others to do the same, which is of grave concern. The AFU emphasizes that such actions can be qualified under Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
“Deliberate obstruction of duty is a serious offense that entails criminal liability, regardless of the circumstances,” the command said in a statement.
The employees of the CCC and the SP are currently undergoing a renewal stage, and transparent rules for interaction with the public are being implemented. At the same time, actions that impede their activities can seriously threaten the country’s defense capabilities.
It is noted that the CCC and the SP are responsible for staffing the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and any interference in their work during martial law is not only a violation but also poses a threat to national security. Liability may arise even for the intention to obstruct, even if the attempt was not successful, and persons from the age of 16 can also be held liable if they are sober.
The command calls on citizens to abide by the law and support efforts to protect the state, emphasizing that this is their civic duty and contribution to a common victory.
The service’s statement emphasizes that military structures act in the interests of the state, and any illegal actions against them can lead to serious legal consequences.
