Will the “limitedly fit” become evaders and violators?

Citizens of Ukraine who have the status of “limitedly fit” for military service and will not pass a repeated military medical examination (VLK) by June 5, 2025, will be considered offenders. Dmitry Lazutkin, a representative of the Ministry of Defense, confirmed this.

Such persons may be recognized as violators of military registration during a special period. Article 210 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses may apply to them. Lazutkin also noted that a significant number of persons in Ukraine have not yet undergone a repeated medical examination and remain in an unclear status.

He emphasized that the term for passing the military medical examination will not be extended. However, those who have already started the procedure by June 5 will be able to complete it without the risk of sanctions.

“If a person has already submitted documents and started passing the commission, he will be able to calmly complete this process and receive the current status without problems,” Lazutkin added.

Thus, citizens who are in the “limited fit” status have deadlines and rules that must be followed to avoid legal consequences.
