Baskov and Sosedov had a fight, the “natural blonde” made a statement: “Isn’t it time to shut up?”

The conflict between popular singer Nikolai Baskov and music critic Sergei Sosedov has once again garnered media attention.

Sosedov, known for his sharp statements, expressed the opinion that certain artists, in particular Baskov, should give way to young performers. According to him, experienced stars hinder the development of new talents on stage.

Baskov was not late in answering, confirming his position on this issue. He noted that Mr. Sosedov does not realize that young artists are already taking their places on stage and recalled how difficult it was for him and Philip Kirkorov at the beginning of their careers. Responding to criticism, the singer advised Sosedov to “just shut up,” emphasizing that speaking is his profession.

Both participants in the dispute actively support Vladimir Putin’s policies and Russian aggression against Ukraine. In particular, Baskov joined the “Putin Team” movement in 2017 and has repeatedly expressed support for the war in Ukraine, calling it a “peacekeeping operation” and making monetary donations to Russian troops.

Sosedov is also known for his pro-Russian views: in particular, he supported the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and often makes Ukrainian-phobic statements, accusing our country of “neo-Nazi propaganda.”

Thus, their conflict in public is only a small part of their activities. Behind the scenes, both artists act as propagandists for the Kremlin regime, justifying aggression against Ukraine and defending the interests of the authorities. The latest disputes only distract attention from their proper role in supporting a regime that brings only suffering and destruction.
