Lightning strikes Ostankino Tower during storm in Moscow

In Moscow, the moment when lightning struck the TV tower was captured on video. Rescuers warn that the storm is intensifying.

Serious weather phenomena are observed in Russia. Eyewitnesses in the capital filmed how lightning struck the Ostankino TV tower. Reggaeton has already recorded the first tornadoes in the vicinity. Russian TV channels reported this.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, further deterioration of weather conditions is predicted in Moscow on June 8. Heavy rains, showers, and thunderstorms are expected until 21:08.

Wind gusts can reach 20-25 meters per second, and there is also a possibility of tornadoes.

This is not the first time lightning has struck the Ostankino TV tower; a similar incident occurred in June 2024.

The Ostankino TV Center is a key broadcast location for numerous Russian TV channels, including Channel One, Rossiya, NTV, Muz-TV, and REN TV.
