Military salaries are lower than in the ATB: outrage is growing

Service in the rear: the salary is lower than in civilian professions. A cashier in the ATB receives more than a soldier who fulfills the promise to defend the country in the rear.

Petro Konoplya, a recruiter for the Unmanned Systems Forces, raised an issue that is being discussed among the military: the salaries in the rear are striking in their insufficiency. This not only affects the financial condition of the army but also discourages the desire to serve in it. In civilian life, a person can earn twice as much without risking anything except physical effort.

For example, a single man supporting a family receives 50,000 hryvnias per month for his civilian job, while in the army, a similar position is paid only 20,000 hryvnias. This is a serious challenge for many, as a security guard in a store often earns a higher salary than a rear serviceman.

It is essential to remember that the Ukrainian military are our relatives and friends who are willing to fight for their country. If the rear does not support the front, the latter will not stand. Therefore, it is necessary to find resources for decent remuneration for the military, as 20,000 hryvnias is insufficient to provide for a family.

It is essential to recognize that the war began as a result of Russia’s aggressive actions. If there were no war, mobilization would not have become a reality.

Today, we need not only to defend ourselves but also to stand guard over our freedoms. We must all make an effort to support the military in its efforts to win. This is necessary not only for moral support but also to urge the authorities to ensure decent remuneration for the defenders.
