Anthill cake according to Yevhen Klopotenko’s recipe: a detailed step-by-step guide
The “Anthill” cake is a favorite dessert of many, leaving a lasting impression and pleasant memories. Crispy crumbs from homemade shortcrust pastry featuring nuts and poppy seeds, combined with a cream based on condensed milk, create an excellent taste! Cooking does not require special equipment, such as molds or mixers. Here is a simple recipe from Yevgeny Klopotenko.
Useful recommendations:
Choose high-quality butter, avoiding substitutes made from margarine or spreads.
Walnuts are traditional for this recipe, but you can try others, such as almonds or hazelnuts.
For additional aroma, it is recommended to add vanilla sugar or orange zest to the dough.
Ideas for decoration:
Although the cake looks great without decoration, you can decorate it with nuts, grated chocolate, or poppy seeds. For lovers of chocolate delicacies, prepare Prague cake with apricot jam.

Step 4: Crumble the finished dough into a bowl and add two tablespoons of poppy seeds and 100g of chopped nuts. Mix everything thoroughly.
Step 5: Melt 180g of butter in a saucepan and mix it with 500g of condensed milk. Add this mass to the dough and mix well.
Step 6: Form the cake in a deep bowl, spreading the dough with cream and tamping it. Please place it in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
Step 7: After a few hours, carefully turn the bowl onto a flat plate, remove the film, and your cake is ready to serve!
