The Armed Forces of Ukraine may receive significant payments in June: reasons for financial reward
Additional financial rewards are provided for Ukrainian military personnel defending the country in the ranks of the Armed Forces. As of June 2025, six main types of supplements are in effect, as per the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine’s Order No. 556.
The rights of military personnel to supplements
The amount of supplements is determined based on the type of service, the region where the task is performed, and the level of participation in combat operations. The document highlights the procedure for calculating supplements to the basic salary of military personnel.
UAH 100,000 – for military personnel on the front line
This amount is received by soldiers who directly participate in combat operations on the front line, in particular in occupied territories. Families of prisoners of war and missing soldiers, as well as military personnel after receiving injuries, also receive funds.
50,000 UAH – for military personnel of headquarters and command posts
This payment is intended for military personnel working in headquarters or command posts located in areas of active combat operations. The allowance is determined according to the list approved by the General Staff or the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
30,000 UAH – for performing combat and special tasks
This type of supplement is provided to those military personnel who participate in operations to defend the country, are involved in air defense systems, protect critical facilities, or are responsible for logistical support in the combat zone.
70,000 UAH – for participation in frontline and rear operations
This supplement is accrued to military personnel involved in combat or special operations in enemy territories. It can be paid together with other types of remuneration, for example, a 100,000 UAH supplement.
Additional payments for instructors
Training unit instructors receive allowances ranging from 15,000 to 30,000 UAH, depending on the specifics and complexity of the training provided to the soldiers.
Additional payments for cadets
Cadets of military educational institutions receive payments starting from 8,000 UAH, and graduates with honors can receive up to 20,100 UAH.
Rewards for the destruction of enemy equipment
In addition to the basic additional payments, the Ukrainian army has financial incentives for the destruction of enemy equipment. The amount of the reward depends on the type of equipment and can vary from 12,000 to 243,600 UAH.
Examples of rewards:
243,600 UAH – for the destruction of a warship;
121,800 UAH – for a downed combat aircraft.
These payments enhance combat effectiveness and acknowledge the personal contributions of each soldier to victory.
Recall that previously, there were instances when the military was left without financial support, as banks canceled credit limits for military personnel, causing outrage. It was also reported that the army paid for travel despite the legislative guarantees of free travel. Lawyers also warned about potential pitfalls in the conscription process.
