The Pension Fund has started registration for cash assistance: who is entitled to payments
The Pension Fund of Ukraine has announced the start of accepting applications for a one-time cash benefit in celebration of Ukraine’s Independence Day. This was made known through the fund’s press service.
Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1396 provides the funds to support individuals with special labor services to the country, war veterans, and employees performing their duties under conditions of increased risk.
The following categories of persons can submit applications for assistance:
- Employers for military personnel, police officers, court security officers, and other persons who are not pensioners.
- Other persons entitled to payment, without military service, also on condition that they are not pensioners.
All pensioners who meet the criteria outlined in this resolution will receive the payment automatically, in addition to their regular pension or life support.
There are several ways to apply for assistance:
- By personally contacting the Pension Fund service center or the Administrative Services Center at your place of residence;
- By sending an application by mail to the address of the relevant territorial body of the Pension Fund;
- Through the Pension Fund’s electronic services web portal using a qualified electronic signature.
Financial support must be issued by August 1, 2025, but if necessary, documents can be submitted by October 1, 2025.
We previously reported on the importance of updating pension documents to preserve benefits, as well as recommendations for pensioners who receive payments on cards regarding new procedures that must be taken into account promptly to avoid losing their payments.
