A necessary step: Syrsky openly commented on the CCC and mobilization – what awaits military commissars and evaders

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky, emphasized that mobilization processes should not come as a surprise to the population. At a meeting with journalists, he noted the need to conduct these events openly and legally.

During the meeting, the general discussed the inspections currently being conducted in military commissariats. These measures are aimed at identifying persons who did not participate in hostilities and caring for the wounded who need to return home.

“Mobilization is a difficult but necessary step. No country in wartime can do without it,” said Syrsky, noting that the territorial defense bodies are being reorganized to overcome corruption and abuses.

He emphasized the importance of identifying and punishing those who violate the law. The general expressed his hopes for the new commander of the Ground Forces, Major General Gennady Shapovalov, emphasizing his role in ensuring justice and efficiency of mobilization processes.

The general also recalled that the territorial recruitment centers (TCK) are simply fulfilling their duties, and the war unleashed by Russia itself forced Ukrainians to go to the front, wasting resources that could be used for development.

“Russia is mobilizing even in the occupied territories, where refusal to participate is tantamount to death. We are being forced to fight, but now we have the opportunity to choose: to defend our land or join the enemy’s army. If the aggressor is not stopped, this will lead to new suffering in Europe,” he noted.

The general concluded that the Russians were the enemy of Ukraine and called for support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine through donations and volunteering since the current war is a struggle for life, memory, and freedom. Only after overcoming the enemy will Ukrainians have a chance for the future.
