Organizers who overstated deliveries to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and caused losses of 6 million hryvnias were identified
Prosecutors from the Prosecutor General’s Office, together with the State Bureau of Investigation, have revealed a criminal scheme related to the supply of food to military units and educational institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result, the organizer and eight more people involved in this scheme were detained.
According to the information, the owner of two private companies that had contracts with the Ministry of Defense created a gang. It includes:
- two directors of the involved enterprises,
- two employees of these companies,
- as well as four representatives of food services in military units and an educational institution.
The essence of the crime was that the documents indicated an inflated amount of supplied products, which allowed the illegal appropriation of budget funds. As a result of unlawful activities, the state suffered losses exceeding 6 million hryvnias.
Investigative actions are currently underway, and the issue of declaring suspicion to all participants and choosing preventive measures is being resolved.
