The opportunity to avoid fines and litigation: a way to transfer debt for utility services into installments
Ukrainian citizens who have accumulated significant debts for utility services and are facing financial difficulties in repaying them have the opportunity to conclude a debt restructuring agreement. This information was provided by specialists from the company “Oblteplokomunenergo.”
Restructuring involves agreeing on the division of debt between the consumer and the utility company, with equal payments made over a specified period, typically ranging from 3 to 12 months. This allows you to avoid litigation, penalties, and blocking of bank accounts.
To agree, you will need to make the first payment, which is up to 50% of the total debt amount. The balance will be paid monthly, according to the schedule agreed upon between the parties.
To draw up a restructuring agreement, you need to contact the service provider with a written application and submit the necessary package of documents.
The agreement can be concluded by owners or co-owners of real estate, as well as persons registered at the address.
Required documents:
passport and identification code (TIN);
a document confirming ownership of housing (deed of sale, certificate of inheritance, etc.);
a certificate from the Housing Office or the Center for Administrative Services on persons registered in housing.
It is recommended to pay attention to fines for non-payment of utility services, including the sanctions that can be applied and the methods for checking debt.
