Ukrainian women will receive from 3 to 7 thousand dollars: who is entitled to assistance

A new initiative is launching in Ukraine that will provide women with financial support ranging from $3,000 to $7,000.

This program, initiated by the Mercy Corps Foundation, aims to support Ukrainian women farmers. The Howard G. Buffett Foundation will fund the project.

Support will be available in several aspects:

Cash assistance for the development or start of an agribusiness (from $3,000 to $7,000);

specialized training in a chosen field, such as gardening, berry growing, vegetable growing, livestock breeding, rabbit breeding, poultry farming, goat breeding, or beekeeping;

formation and development of entrepreneurial skills through the participants’ experience.

To receive financial support, you must apply by June 29, 2025.

Who is eligible to participate in the program and receive assistance?

The program is open to both residents and internally displaced persons who:

live in the regions most affected by the war (Zaporizhzhya, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kherson, Odesa regions), except territories under occupation or where hostilities are ongoing;

are engaged in or plan to start agricultural activities on a land plot of no more than 150 hectares;

Run an agribusiness (PE, FOP, LLC) or household and have work experience, or are just planning to engage in agriculture, with a desire to study and gain new knowledge in agricultural production.

When considering applications, priority will be given to women who became heads of agricultural enterprises due to the death or mobilization of family members, as well as representatives of vulnerable categories (single mothers, people with disabilities, mothers with many children, IDPs, etc.).

It was previously reported that Ukrainians can submit applications until July 1 to receive 10,000 hryvnias.

It was also mentioned that the tax service would cancel the debts of Ukrainians under certain conditions.

Additionally, a law has been proposed that provides 2 hectares of land to service members who wish to cultivate it.
