A cluster of enemy UAVs has been recorded on the outskirts of the capital: Kyiv is under threat of drone attacks
On the evening of July 3, Kyiv was again on air alert due to the threat of enemy drone attacks. Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, warned of a possible massive launch of Russian drones towards the capital.
“There is a possibility of an attack by enemy drones on the capital. Currently, our air defense is working to repel individual targets. However, there are several Russian UAVs on the far approaches to Kyiv,” Tkachenko said in Telegram.
The head of the KMVA called on residents not to delay moving to shelters and to remain in safe places until the end of the alert is announced.
According to the KMVA press service, air defense forces were already operating over Kyiv. One of the targets was destroyed – the drone’s wreckage fell in an open area in the Solomyanskyi district. According to preliminary data, there were no damages or casualties.
Earlier, at 17:16, the capital was on alert for the first time in the evening due to the threat of attack UAVs. It was canceled at 19:24, but the alert was reactivated half an hour later, at 20:00.
As of 20:45, the alert in the Kyiv region has remained in effect since 16:52.
Residents are advised to heed the alert signals, proceed to shelters immediately, and remain there until an official announcement is made.
