Channel 5 Firing Russian troops: a studio is destroyed and the damaged equipment

The night of the massive attack on Kyiv caused severe damage to Channel 5. The building in which the studio is located was under hostile shelling. Workers managed to avoid injuries, but the technical equipment and some infrastructure were destroyed.

The shelling struck the studio where live broadcasts are conducted. Removal and journalists’ workplaces were damaged. Currently, the TV channel is unable to return to its usual speech temporarily.

CEO of Channel 5, Vladimir Mzhelsky, reported: “We are actively working to renew speech. We are currently broadcasting only on YouTube. I hope that today we will resume the air at 13:00 – you will see our presenters alive, healthy, and smiling.”

Petro Poroshenko, one of the principal founders of the TV channel, also commented on the situation: “This is a Channel 5 studio. I was repeatedly there. Unfortunately, it was destroyed tonight by a hostile blow. For several hours, the winged rocket and more than thirty Iranian drops in the Kamikaze. Happiness, the team remained unharmed, although some of the journalists had to brave the night air and managed to reach the shelter on time. “

Poroshenko also stressed that the TV channel had been hit for the second time – the first time it had happened in 2022, when the TV channel had not had the opportunity to join the national telephone network.

As of now, transport in the city is stopped, and the number of victims as a result of shelling is 16 people.
