Transport is paralyzed, the city suffers: 16 people injured as a result of shelling of Kyiv

After the attack on Kyiv on the night of July 10, the number of injured people increased to 16, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said.

He reported that 10 people were hospitalized, while others received assistance on the spot or in outpatient settings.

Klitschko added that the outpatient clinic of the Primary Medical and Sanitary Assistance Center No. 1 in the Podilskyi district was seriously damaged as a result of the shelling.

Changes in public transport traffic

Damage to the contact network in several districts of Kyiv led to temporary changes in public transport traffic. The Kyiv City State Administration emphasized the need to consider these changes when planning trips.

The mayor of the capital called on Kyiv residents to be understanding of the situation.

At night, the city came under massive shelling, as a result of which two people died. Residential buildings, garages, and other civilian objects in six districts were hit. Fires broke out in several places.

Earlier, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko signed the decision of the Kyiv City Council regarding the appointment of Mykola Povoroznyk as the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration. He emphasized that all actions must comply with current legislation. In connection with rumors about a possible “celebration”, Klitschko initiated an official investigation, which will involve deputies who supported the relevant decision of the Kyiv City Council. Povoroznyk will be suspended from his duties for the duration of the inspection, and the final decision will be made after the law completes the investigation.
