Some pensioners have had their minimum payments increased: to whom and in what amount
Since March 2025, Ukraine has increased the minimum pension payments for specific categories of pensioners, specifically by 400 hryvnias.
This change applies to people with full work experience who have already reached the age of 65, as reported by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. After annual indexation, the minimum pension for such persons has increased from 3,370 to 3,758 hryvnias. The additional payment applies only to those who are not employed and have a minimum insurance period of 30 years for women and 35 years for men.
Additionally, payments for older categories have been revised. People aged 80 and over with at least 20 years of work experience (for women) or 25 years (for men) have also received an increase.
New pension amounts have also been introduced for other age groups, in particular:
- 3,613 hryvnias – for persons aged 70-80 years, provided that they have a full length of service;
- 3,323 hryvnias – for people under 70 years of age with the necessary insurance length of service, as well as for persons with disabilities of group I, regardless of age;
- 3,038 hryvnias – for those who do not work, but are entitled to a pension, even with a minimum length of service.
No additional changes are planned for July, since indexation has already taken place in March, and no new recalculations are expected.
Earlier, we reported that people’s deputies plan to raise the retirement age, which sparked a discussion about the advisability of continuing to work after 60 years of age to receive an additional pension. Additionally, some Ukrainians have the opportunity to receive free tablets, smartphones, or compensation for equipment.
