Russian fighter jets armed with missiles: Moscow is preparing for a massive strike on Ukraine

The Russian Federation is probably preparing a new large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. This is confirmed by the active movements of aircraft at Russian bases and the transportation of military cargo, including cruise missiles, to the Engels-2 airfield, as noted by the monitoring Telegram channel Tracking.

According to information, three Il-76 transport aircraft arrived at the airbase, marking the seventh flight since the last attack. A Tu-160 strategic bomber was also transferred to the airfield, which came from Ukrainka, located in the Far East. This aircraft is capable of carrying Kh-101 missiles. Other aircraft, including the Tu-95MS, were also loaded with rockets at the base.

According to available information, Russia maintains the following air forces near the Ukrainian borders: one Tu-95MS and three Tu-160s at Engels-2, and one Tu-95MS at Diaghilev.

The Tu-95MS bombers, armed with Kh-55 cruise missiles, are the backbone of Russia’s strategic aviation. They are currently undergoing modernization, which includes expanding the bomb bay and installing eight external suspension points, allowing for up to 16 Kh-101 missiles.

The latest attack on Ukrainian territory occurred on the night of July 16, when Russian forces carried out a massive missile and drone attack. The strike was carried out using an Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from Crimea, as well as more than four hundred Shahed strike drones and various imitation drones. Thanks to the efforts of air defense, 198 of them were destroyed.
