JASSM missiles, 50 days of Putin and strikes on Moscow: an expert explained how Trump’s decision will affect

The expert commented on Donald Trump’s statement that he does not plan to supply Ukraine with JASSM missiles. In response, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov happily noted that the issue of providing long-range rockets from the United States is not on the agenda at the moment. However, as the expert noted, Peskov pointed out that this is only a temporary situation, and given Trump’s character, one should be cautious in making predictions. He also gave an example that the United States could have struck Russia before, and that new sanctions could be introduced very quickly.

“The naive Peskov believes that everything will remain the same. Trump, on the other hand, emphasizes that the situation may change sooner than in 50 days. This causes some concern in the Kremlin, because with other countries, the United States has demonstrated its determination to react quickly,” says expert Mikhail Sheitelman.

Sheitelman also noted that there were reports in the media that Trump had called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to attack military facilities in Moscow. This information was first published by authoritative sources such as the Financial Times, The Washington Post, and later The Wall Street Journal. The White House press secretary tried to explain these statements, saying that they were taken out of context.

“Trump does not mean an attack on cultural or administrative facilities in Moscow, but specifically military factories and educational institutions located in the capital,” Sheitelman explained.

At the same time, he emphasizes that the alliance of China, Iran, and Russia could force Trump to change his vision and provide Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles to strike Moscow.
