Changes in heating tariffs: consumers are promised a discount
In Mykolaiv, they plan to recalculate tariffs for centralized heating, which will allow consumers to receive discounts as early as August. This was noted by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaly Kim, noting that the Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration had corrected previous errors related to the incorrect interpretation of tariffs due to imperfect legislation.
The issue is that consumers paid more than they should have. However, now Mykolaiv Oblast Military Energy is preparing for recalculation to ensure the correctness of charges for heat supply services in the 2024/2025 heating season. Changes in tariffs will become noticeable to household consumers in August payments.
Kim emphasized that these shortcomings have been identified, and in July, the company will design new calculations for all consumers from the “population” category.
It should also be noted that Ukraine has a moratorium on increasing tariffs for central heating, gas, and hot water. Suppliers can only revise tariffs downwards.
We remind you that consumers are also receiving new payments for gas, despite not using it. In other cases, Ukrainians are facing new tariffs, which can be three times more expensive, as previously reported.
