Kateryna Chernogorenko resigns as Deputy Minister of Defense

Kateryna Chernogorenko is leaving her position as Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, responsible for digital development.

She shared this news on her blog, noting that for almost two years she led the digitalization direction at the Ministry of Defense, which became the most difficult and responsible job for her.

Chernogorenko emphasized that she had an excellent team, ready for any challenges, which implemented new ideas and implemented a non-standard approach to the transformation of services.

She noted: “We did not introduce digitalization in the midst of chaos, but created tools that strengthen defense, ensure efficiency, humanity and freedom of choice.”

During her work at the Ministry of Defense, Chernogorenko was involved in the launch of such mobile applications as “Reserve +” and “Army +”.

“Reserve+” is designed for military personnel, conscripts and reservists, and allows them to update personal data, view information from the “Oberig” registry and receive an electronic military registration document.

The “Army+” program is intended for the military.

Recent news indicates that the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police suspects the leadership of “Thanos Technologies”, associated with Kyiv businessman and member of the Ukrainian People’s Party Mykola Petrenko, of misappropriating and laundering state funds allocated for the purchase of military products.
