Retirement up to 60 years of age: Ukrainians have been given the opportunity to take early retirement – who can take advantage of these conditions?

In Ukraine, citizens who worked in conditions with increased health risks have the opportunity to retire earlier than the usual retirement age, set at 60 years. This opportunity is enshrined in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 162, which defines the conditions for receiving an old-age pension on preferential terms.

According to this document, women who have worked for 10 years in harmful conditions can retire at 55 years. Men must have at least 12 years and 6 months of exceptional experience to do this.

However, to take advantage of these benefits, it is also necessary to fulfill the requirement for the total insurance experience: for men, it must be at least 30 years, while for women, it must be 25 years.

Professions falling under this category include specialties in the metallurgical, mining, and chemical industries, as well as some types of construction work that are recognized as dangerous or harmful to health.

To apply for a preferential pension, it is necessary to submit relevant documents to the Pension Fund, including information on employment and special certificates from the place of work. These documents must contain details such as periods of hazardous work, position, nature of harmful conditions, as well as a link to the list according to which these periods are taken into account.

Therefore, preferential retirement remains possible for those whose professions are associated with increased risks and loads. Still, for this, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the conditions of registration and the availability of appropriate experience.
