The authorities themselves caused the problem with NABU, and now they are promoting it by “eliminating” it, – Kryshtafovych
Deputy Head of the Volunteer Headquarters “Ukrainian Team” Orest Kryshtafovych expressed his opinion on the adoption of bill No. 13533, which restores the powers of NABU and SAPO.
Kryshtafovych noted that it was the authorities who deprived these bodies of independence, and now they are trying to return their autonomy, using this situation for their PR.
He asked several questions to the society: how many cases of top corrupt officials, especially those close to the government, were closed during the nine days of the previous law? How many cases were transferred to other law enforcement agencies under the control of the Office of the President?
Kryshtafovych emphasized the importance of honesty and transparency in all anti-corruption cases, noting that these bodies should remain independent and not serve as a tool of the political elite.
“Accountability, transparency, and the power of public control are what distinguish us from Russia. Our fight is not only about protecting people and the country, but also about upholding principles,” he added.
