Prices for cereals, pasta and sunflower oil have risen again, hitting the budget

Ukrainian supermarkets are once again seeing a rise in prices for pasta, some cereals, and sunflower oil. This information is confirmed by monitoring data from the Ministry of Finance.

The latest figures from the National Bank indicate that consumer inflation has somewhat stopped, but most Ukrainians do not feel this. Prices for products, especially socially significant ones, continue to rise.

Changes in prices for pasta and cereals

Prices for pasta have increased noticeably. For example, the average cost of penne pasta has risen from 35.50 to 38 hryvnias per kilogram. In some chains, the price exceeds 50 hryvnias.

As for cereals, some price increases have also been recorded: the average price of long rice has increased from 58.50 to 66.87 hryvnias per kilogram, and in some supermarkets it reaches 92 hryvnias. Square rice has also increased in price – from 71.94 to 72.87 hryvnias per kilogram.

Sunflower oil prices

The sunflower oil segment is experiencing mixed dynamics. Oleyna oil increased its price from 79.69 to 82.15 hryvnias per 850 ml, while Shchedry Dar oil became cheaper from 80.26 to 79.03 hryvnias.

In general, prices for basic food products continue to rise, which is causing concern among the population. In the face of constantly rising product prices, Ukrainians are facing severe financial difficulties.
