Night explosions in the Voronezh region: drones attacked the railway and the market
On the night of August 16-17, explosions were heard in the Voronezh region. According to Russian media and regional governor Alexander Gusev, the drones struck a railway.
As a result of the attack in one of the municipalities, a track fitter at a railway station was injured and taken to the hospital.
The explosions caused debris to fall, which in turn damaged a power line at the station, resulting in delays for several trains. The movement was later restored.
Residents report that the drones attacked the Lysky station. Fires broke out in the same area, including one in a store and another in a clothing market. A gas pipe also caught fire in another municipality.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, fires and explosions have regularly occurred at industrial facilities in the Russian Federation, which are usually attributed to safety violations or drone attacks.
