Thanks to his first victory at the Diamond League stage, which took place in Brussels, Doroshchuk won the gold medal, overcoming a height of 2.25 meters.
This triumph earned the athlete 8 points, which proved decisive in securing a spot in the final. With this result, he rose to fourth place in the overall standings; the six best athletes reached the final.
