How criticism helped strengthen Igor Tselip
Singer Igor Tselip shared how negative reviews and criticism became a source of inspiration and strength for him in his creative work.
This is stated in the press release.
At the beginning of his career, every harsh comment had a substantial impact on the artist and made him doubt his own abilities. However, over time, Tselip realized that negativity is not the end, but a resource that can be harnessed for practical purposes.
“Haters are free advertising. Before, I was very worried about negative comments, thinking that I was doing something wrong. But later I realized that every such comment is an opportunity to doubt myself, to check my values and strength. When people talk about you, it means that you do not leave people indifferent,” he noted.
The artist added that criticism taught him to work with his emotions, to experiment with sound, image on stage, and presentation. “I learned to distinguish constructive criticism from toxic. When negative comments are unfounded, it motivates me to work even harder to show that I’m on the right track,” says Tselip.
In his opinion, even negative emotions can be used in creativity. Many of his songs originated from challenging moments in life. “When you feel pressure, you either break or become stronger. I chose the second option,” the singer shares.
Tselip also openly talks about his fears and mistakes, believing that this strengthens the connection with his listeners. “I don’t want to be an emotionally callous person. If I’m having a hard time, I talk about it. When I receive criticism, I don’t hide my feelings. I think these are the things that make me closer to people,” he noted.
Currently, Ihor is actively working on new tracks, preparing several premieres, and planning collaborations with Ukrainian performers. The support of his fans and even the criticism of haters help him stay afloat.
“For me, it is important not only to sing, but also to leave my mark. Criticism is an opportunity to look at yourself from a new perspective. By perceiving it without offense, you can find a source for development,” the artist concluded.
