What mode will Ukrainian schoolchildren study in from September 1?

From September 1, students in Ukraine will have the opportunity to study in different formats – full-time, blended, or distance learning.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced innovations regarding the educational process in the new academic year.

The department noted that the requirement for the minimum number of students for distance classes has been canceled. These classes can now be opened under the same conditions as full-time or blended classes, provided there are at least five students. Each educational institution has the right to create distance classes, even if it does not have a complete line of parallels.

The school management or the regional military administration may adjust the educational format during the academic year, depending on the situation in the region, particularly the security and epidemiological conditions.

In the conditions of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the importance of protecting the country remains on the agenda. At the same time, the legislation allows for certain relaxations for specific groups of the population, particularly regarding the possibility of mobilizing women in 2025.
