A charity pop-up ”Books that Save” will be held in Kyiv in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On Saturday, September 13, a charity pop-up event “Books that Save” will take place at the VDNH in Kyiv. This project is being implemented jointly with the Serhiy Prytula Foundation.
The main objective of the event is to unite book culture, famous personalities of Ukraine, and charity in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Part of the proceeds from the sale of books will be transferred to the needs of the army.
The event program features a book fair, offering the opportunity to purchase books from renowned personalities, as well as several educational activities. Among the participants will be: Oleg Zagorodniy, Olena Lavreniuk, Natalia Babenko, Dmitry Rybalevsky, Marina Aristova, Andriy Shuvalov, Lyubava Greshnova, Maksym Devizorov, Alina Shamanska, and Valeria Khodos. The host will be Natalia Tur.
The event schedule includes:
- 11:00 — opening of the pop-up;
- 13:00 — lecture by Leniya Umerova on the topic “How books contribute to maintaining mental health”;
- 14:30 — training in tactical medicine, covering the basics of first aid on the front and in everyday life;
- 15:30 — lecture from the “Blood Agents” initiative, which will emphasize the importance of donation;
- 17:00 — summing up the event.
Among the event’s partners are ICTV, Ty Kyiv, and Cklife. Media, Polyana VDNH, Blood Agents, and Edyna.
The “Books That Save” project aims to demonstrate that literature can serve not only as a source of knowledge and inspiration, but also as a genuine tool of support that can help those currently defending the country.
