Netflix announces documentary series about Victoria Beckham: trailer now available

The trailer for the new documentary series “Victoria Beckham” has appeared on the Netflix YouTube channel. This project tells the story of the designer, a former soloist of the Spice Girls and the wife of the famous football player David Beckham.

The series premiere will take place on October 9. The film will explore Victoria’s childhood, her musical career, and her transition into the world of fashion. The primary focus will be on preparing the Beckham brand for the show at Paris Fashion Week.

The author of the series is Nadia Hallgren, who has already gained acclaim for her project, “The Making of Michelle Obama.” She conducted conversations with Victoria, her husband, friends, experts, and performers from the fashion industry.

“This uncool and awkward kid at school was me, but I wanted so much to be liked and feel valued,” Victoria Beckham shared in the trailer.

The executive producers were Nicola Howson, Julia Nottingham, Anders Christian Madsen, and Hallgren herself. Studio 99 and Dorothy Street also contributed to the production.

Victoria Beckham rose to fame as part of the Spice Girls, who topped the charts between 1996 and 2001. After the group’s breakup, she released several singles and the album “Victoria Beckham” before focusing on a career in fashion.

Despite this, Beckham participated in the Spice Girls’ reunion tour in 2007–2008 and performed with the group at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

In 2023, she also appeared in the documentary series Beckham about her husband, one of the segments of which went viral.
