Expert: The moment is approaching when Russian planes can be shot down

In his blog, the expert noted that Estonia’s activation of NATO’s Article 4 could be a significant step in escalating the conflict with Russia. He drew a parallel with the situation in kindergarten, when the teacher threatened punishment, which boldly illustrates the current tension between NATO and Russia.

“It seems that we are playing a game with the Russians, where there will be no third warning – there will be punishment. They are apparently waiting for this punishment,” the expert emphasized, noting that NATO is considering the possibility of increasing the level of combat readiness in response to Estonia’s actions.

According to him, Russia’s reaction to such steps would be unlikely, as it lacks adequate means to respond. If Russian aviation focuses on NATO, he noted, Western F-35 fighters would have a clear advantage.

The expert recalled historical parallels, citing the example of World War II, when Hitler decided to attack the Soviet Union after realizing that Soviet military equipment did not meet modern requirements. In a contemporary context, he said that NATO witnessed the ineffectiveness of Russian equipment during the conflict in Israel and Iran, when Israeli aircraft remained unharmed despite the Russian air defense systems used.

Thus, the situation around NATO and Russia continues to escalate, and many experts believe that current actions only contribute to increasing tensions in the region.
