GUR neutralized a lieutenant colonel of the Russian Guard and his accomplices in the Stavropol Territory
On September 27, 2025, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on a successful operation carried out on the territory of the Russian Federation. The efforts of the Caucasus Liberation Movement managed to eliminate three people from the Russian Guard in the area of the settlement of Tambukan in the Stavropol Territory of the Russian Federation.
According to the GUR, among the dead was a lieutenant colonel of the Russian Guard, who led a group of special forces “Avangard”, as well as his assistant and driver. The Russian Guards intended to go to the training ground, but the operation of Ukrainian intelligence forced them to change their plans.
The GUR noted that this unit is an elite unit of the Russian Guard, which performs special tasks within Russian territory.
The agency confirmed that this action is part of a system of successful measures aimed at undermining the forces of the occupiers and their special forces on Russian territory.
It is worth noting that Lieutenant General Abachev suffered serious injuries as a result of the fire strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
