New train Kyiv – Bucharest in 2025: schedule, tickets, route and airports
International train No. 99/100, connecting Kyiv and Bucharest, has already aroused interest among potential passengers, even though its launch is scheduled for October 10, 2025. It will provide a daily connection between the Ukrainian capital and the Romanian one, making the journey as comfortable as possible.
As it became known, the train route will pass through key Ukrainian cities, cross Moldova, stop in Velchinets and Ungheni, and then continue its journey to Iasi and, finally, to Bucharest, where the central station Gara de Nord is located.
This route opens up quick access to two airports in Romania:
A bus from Iasi to the airport leaves every 20 minutes.
From Gare de Nord in Bucharest, you can reach Henri Coandă Airport by high-speed train, followed by a transfer to the metro.
In addition, from the Bucharest train station, you can continue your journey to Budapest, Vienna, Sofia, and Istanbul.
The train schedule is as follows:
From Kyiv – daily at 06:30, arriving in Bucharest the next day at 06:47;
From Bucharest – daily at 19:10, arriving in Kyiv the next day at 19:34.
Tickets can be purchased via the mobile application and the official website of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Thus, this year, Ukrainians will have the opportunity to travel to the capital of Romania conveniently by rail. The new flight will connect Kyiv with Bucharest, passing through important cities on the route, and the final station will provide easy access to the airport.
The travel time will be about 24 hours. The train will depart from Kyiv at 06:30 and arrive in Bucharest at 06:47 the next day. In the return direction from Bucharest, the train will depart at 19:10 and arrive in Kyiv at 19:41 the next day.
The fare for a compartment car will be approximately 3800 UAH.
