Explosions at Tyumen factory: eyewitnesses report drones and fire

On the evening of October 6, explosions occurred in the Antipino district of Tyumen, connected with a drone attack on a local oil refinery. City residents noticed two drones, which were likely responsible for the incident.

Firefighters and medics arrived at the scene quickly. The Antipino oil refinery, located more than 1,300 km from the Ukrainian border, can process up to 7.5 million tons of oil per year. Videos appeared on the Internet showing fire engines rushing to the plant and sirens wailing.

After the incident, the local administration reported that three drones had been neutralized. Official sources claim there was no fire, no injuries, and that the enterprise is operating as usual.

However, videos have appeared on social media showing the aftermath of the attack, with witnesses claiming to have heard at least two explosions, followed by a fire near the plant. Mobile internet outages have also been reported in the Tyumen region.

On the same day, there were reports of explosions at the Uralorgsintez plant in the Perm region, although it later turned out that the incident occurred at a plastics processing plant, where one of the workshops caught fire.

These events followed a fire in Moscow on October 5 in a building housing companies specializing in unmanned technologies.
