“Child” allowance of 1000 UAH: who is entitled to financial support
Orphans and children deprived of parental care living in families of guardians and custodians will receive one-time financial assistance. As reported, the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration announced these payments.
The amount of assistance will be 1,000 hryvnias, and for these purposes, the region has already received 837 thousand hryvnias from the state budget. Payments provided for by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine’s resolution dated December 3, 2024, will be made automatically. This initiative aims to provide additional support to the most vulnerable children during martial law.
Also, as reported, there are regular monthly payments for children under guardianship. They are provided to guardians in cases where children are left without parents due to various circumstances, such as the death of parents or the deprivation of their rights.
Amounts of state assistance in 2025:
For orphans:
Up to 6 years old – 6,407.50 UAH (2.5 subsistence minimum);
From 6 to 18 years old – 7,990.00 UAH.
For children with disabilities:
Up to 6 years old – 8,970.50 UAH (3.5 subsistence minimum);
From 6 to 18 years old – 11,186.00 UAH.
If a child receives a pension, alimony, or other forms of assistance, state support is paid as the difference between the established norm and the child’s actual income.
Financial assistance is provided for 12 months and can be renewed each year upon submission of a new application with supporting documents. Payments are made monthly until the child reaches 18 years of age.
