СБУ схопила агентів ФСБ, що координували атаки на енергетичну інфраструктуру Дніпра

SBU captures FSB agents who coordinated attacks on Dnipro energy infrastructure

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained two FSB agents who were trying to disrupt the start of the heating season in Dnipro. They were collecting information to carry out attacks on the city’s energy facilities that provide electricity and heat for residential buildings, hospitals, schools, and kindergartens.

According to the SBU press service, the criminals worked as drivers for a local logistics company. During their trips, they took photos of energy facilities and marked them on maps, transmitting the coordinates to the Russian curator via messenger.

It was established that one of the detainees came to the attention of Russian special services even before the start of the full-scale invasion, when he was delivering cargo to the Belgorod region. This year, he was recruited by an FSB representative to adjust the strikes on the Dnipro, involving his partner in the work.

The agents were detained at their residences in Dnipro. During the searches, evidence of their collaboration with the enemy was seized, including items with Russian symbols, such as a special forces airborne troops pennant and a statuette of Putin.

Both detainees were informed of suspicion under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason during martial law). They are being held without bail and face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

SBU officers carried out the operation that led to the detention in the Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.
