Don’t fall for marketing tricks: Black Friday dates and purchases to avoid

At the end of November, the Black Friday sale season begins in Ukraine and around the world, marking the start of the holiday shopping season.

Usually, Ukrainian retail chains start advertising special offers a few days before Black Friday itself, often from November 23-25. Significant discounts accompany these sales and can last for several days after the holiday.

To make the most profitable purchases at this time, it is important to start monitoring prices now. This way, you can determine where there are really significant discounts and avoid products that are not profitable to buy during this period.

Winter clothing and footwear collections

Experts advise against buying new winter models, as the discounts on them at the start of the season are insignificant. It is best to make such purchases in January-February, at the end of the winter season.

Jewelry

It is also not recommended to buy jewelry during the New Year holidays, as prices usually rise at this time, and discounts may not be as profitable as they seem at first glance.

Furniture and mattresses

Before Black Friday, some furniture stores may raise prices to offer a “discount” later. It is better to wait for really profitable offers during other holiday periods. If you are planning large purchases, carefully monitor price changes.

During Black Friday, tour operators often offer promotions on travel and early booking. However, the best tour prices, as a rule, appear after the New Year holidays, in January or February. Therefore, it is worth considering whether it is more profitable to wait before purchasing.
