StopKor appealed to the prosecutor’s office about the status of deputy Kovalenko in the case of the appropriation of 92 hectares in the Kyiv region

The StopKor editorial office submitted a request to the Prosecutor General’s Office to learn about the role of Deputy Maryna Kovalenko in the investigation into a criminal case related to the possible illegal seizure of 92 hectares of land in the Kyiv region. The deputy, who represents the “OPZZH”, denies her guilt but admits she is a suspect.

During a public discussion near the village council, she attempted to explain her status in the case. When asked about the reasons for her absence at the appeal court session, she noted that the prosecutor had withdrawn his appeal. When the activist clarified her status in the case, the deputy confirmed: “I am a suspect.”

As for her car, Kovalenko denied the claim that it was arrested, noting that it is not under arrest today. She also stated that she does not consider herself the organizer of a criminal group and questioned the veracity of information from official sources.

While speaking with the activist, Kovalenko asked where she had obtained information about the case, and said she had contacted a public organization but received no response.
