Deputy Chief of Police of Zaporizhia Region Found to Have $40,000 in Cash

Ruslan Usmanov, deputy chief of police of the Zaporizhzhia region and head of the investigation unit, declared a significant cash balance of $40,500.

The police colonel is originally from Pervomaysk, located in the temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk region, but currently lives in Zaporizhzhia.

His declaration states that he owns a 1,500-square-meter plot of land in the village of Khryashchivka, which he purchased in 2008.

During 2024, Usmanov received 1.12 million hryvnia in police salary, an additional 1,000 hryvnia as a one-time benefit to veterans, and 4,000 hryvnia in social benefits as an internally displaced person. There are no other sources of income in his declaration.

His cash assets are interesting: despite the large cash balance, he has only 30,500 hryvnia in bank accounts in Privatbank and Oschadbank.

The Usmanov family did not declare any cars, valuables, or other financial assets.

At the same time, in 2023, the family purchased an apartment in Sofiivska Borshchagovka near Kyiv. The 50.6-square-meter property cost 2.62 million hryvnias and belongs to Ruslan Usmanov himself, his son, and his mother, Valentina Usmanova.
