According to Ukrainian legislation, the concept of “13th salary” is not defined, but annual bonuses are part of the salary structure. The rules for their accrual are prescribed in the collective agreement or internal documents of the enterprise, which may include:

conditions for receiving the bonus;
method of calculating the amount.
In the absence of clear rules, the employer decides these issues himself. Most often, the 13th salary is paid to full-time employees, while freelancers and temporary workers rarely receive this payment.
The company’s financial stability also significantly affects the likelihood of accruing this bonus. Usually, the bonus is paid only when the company reaches or exceeds the planned financial indicators.
Who can bypass the 13th salary in 2025?
Not all employees will be able to count on such a payment in 2025. Freelancers, temporary workers, and persons working under civil law contracts usually do not receive the 13th salary due to the specifics of employment contracts.
Therefore, the 13th salary is not automatically the right of every employee, and its receipt depends on many factors, including company policy and legal terms of employment.
