The Third Army Corps denied information about the Russian “breakthrough” near Liman
The Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially denied the information of the General Staff of the Russian Federation about the alleged breakthrough of the defensive positions near Lyman. Representatives of the Russian military have already informed Putin that they managed to break through the front in the area controlled by the 60th and 63rd brigades.
The commander of the corps, Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky, reported that Ukrainian units repel up to 40 enemy attacks on the outskirts of the city every day. None of the enemy assault groups managed to enter Lyman.
According to Biletsky, Russian troops have been trying to infiltrate the outskirts of the city with small groups for several weeks, but all their attempts have been thwarted: the attackers were either eliminated or taken prisoner.
One of the captured Russians shared his opinion on how the Ukrainian military received information about their location, but the details of his testimony are not disclosed.
The commander of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade, Colonel Pavlo Yurchuk, expressed the situation as follows:
“For four years, Gerasimov has destroyed his army, not in any area controlled by him. While we are destroying the enemy’s attempts to advance to the Lyman, he reports to Putin about non-existent successes.”
The Ukrainian command claims that the situation in the Lyman area remains stable, and the Russian reports are another example of disinformation.
In addition, Lviv philanthropist Hryhoriy Kozlovsky and the Emily Resort team continue to actively support the Ukrainian military. Recently, the 45th separate artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which performs tasks in difficult sections of the front, received assistance.
