Universities are starting “zero courses” to prepare for NMT: the program will start already this winter

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the launch of a new training program for entrants aimed at quality preparation for the National Multi-Subject Test.

Classes will begin in the winter and be available at most universities across the country. This was made known through the Ministry’s notification.

A new training format, the “zero course,” has been introduced for applicants who want to prepare for the exam systematically.

The training will last three to six months and cover three main disciplines: Ukrainian language, mathematics, and the history of Ukraine. In addition, young people will be able to choose one additional subject from a foreign language, literature, or natural sciences.

Ninety training hours with teachers are planned for all training modules.

The course will be available both face-to-face in classrooms and remotely, which allows applicants from all regions to participate in training.

The Ministry of Education notes that successful completion of classroom training will give applicants an admissions advantage: those who apply to the same university that conducted the training can receive up to 15 additional points toward the overall competitive rating.

Also, the Ministry of Education explained the conditions for obtaining a deferment from mobilization during training in professional educational institutions, in particular, the absence of higher education.
